Kenneth and Emilie went with their Neena and gave kit kat bars to all the employees at the Hidden Valley Library. Everyone was very appreciative and said what an awesome church we went to!! We know!!!

Today at work I had a Lady who worked for me who did not have lunch. I offered to let me buy lunch and she said Oh No your Husband is laid off and I know that can be a hardship. . . . He may be laid off, but God has shown us what following him is all about. I bought her lunch and she was so impressed with what I was saying that her husband and daughter or coming to SUNDAY service. She has to work.

Mike has been laid off. We took food to the same guy Mike has worked with for several years that we have been giving food to. When Mike showed up this week with the box of food the man was over come. He could not understand that even thought Mike had lost his jCob we still cared. We gave him an ANCHOR card and told him we would be back each week as before. God had blessed us so much and that he loved him to. This guy is the same guy who was in a biker gang and could not understand that GOD is awesome

I purchased a movie ticket for a lady in line behind me. She was so appreciative and in amazement of the gesture. She commented that she planned to pass on the Anchor card and complete a random act of kindness of her own.

A Transfer

I work for a bank, and had one of my clients come in asking about his account. He had told me that his house was broken into and during that time his account became overdrawn with all the chaos going on. He brought in a check to cover the amount he owed but it wasn’t enough. . . . So the next morning I came to work and transferred the difference that he needed from my account. . . It feels so good to know that I did something that will touch his heart and help him in this time of need.

I took a friend of mine lunch who is at home with her 2 week old daughter. She (the mom) has been very sick since before she had her and hasn’t been able to do much. She was surprised that I wanted to bring her lunch. I am also working on getting her a stroller since they don’t have one.

Help at the Beach

I went on vacation this past week and we went to the beach. While we were there i noticed a lady holding her baby and a load of beach toys. She kept dropping all of her things so i helped her carry all of her toys across the beach to her husband. Her husband look at me with shock. He seemed very surpised that a stranger would help his wife.

We were in line yesterday afternoon at the store after a great church service and the Lady in front of us had to put back some food items. I heard her tell the cashier she did not have enough money to pay. I asked the cashier to please let me pay and gave the lady one of ANCHOR cards. She started crying and told me her and her little girl were very hungry. I offered to buy more, but she told me we had blessed her so much with what we had already done.

We sent a Walmart giftcard with her to give to her brother and come to find out…the amount we put on the card was 2 dollars over what he needed to get a prescription that he would other wise not have been able to get. God works in more ways than we know. He sent us a thank you note and stated that he will pay it forward himself.

Student Mission Week

We had an amazing week with the youth from the Anchor and Lizella Baptist. We had about 30 people each day performing various RAOK. IT was impossible to note every act that was performed, but we have documented 225. Everything from working in a public school, then a private school, prayer walking, passing out flyers about Aug 2, serving lunches to the needy, cleaning houses and many more!

While on vacation, I spent some special time with my young cousin who’s mother past away in November. She is the only female in the house with her dad and brother. She needed some time with a girl to pamper her. My sister and I straightened her hair and fixed it to give her that pampering of a woman’s touch!

Students / Adults from the Anchor and Lizella performed a Radical Act of Kindness for Unity Grove Elementary School. We pulled weeds, planted flowers and pressure washed the outside. The staff was really appreciative of all that was done!

I went to the pool and there was a kid there that was using his T-Shirt to dry off because he forgot his towel. So I took mine over and gave it to him. He looked at me confused and so I smiled and told him not to worry about returning it, just pass the kindness along. He smiled back said ok and thank you.

A Job

We have a lady in our office that her husband is out of work. I talked with her about what he could do and found that we have an opening that would suit him. She was blown away that I would step to the plate for him. I told her what I am trying to live by now is WHAT WOULD JESUS DO. He interviewed for the job and is going to be hired. I had a chance to tell her what God can do in your life with just faith. I told her I had been saved by the Grace of God and so could she.

Harry and I went to Jimmy’s Steak and Seafood in Locust Grove tonight for dinner. We sat down and about 15 minutes later the older gentleman walked in and sat down. . . So when our waitress came back to our table Harry told her to put his dinner on our bill and it put a smile on her face. She said you guys are so sweet. Harry told her not to tell him until we left. I know he was so happy. It made us feel really good to do that for him.

My husband, I, and our 3 children were having trouble affording groceries one week. I went to the mailbox that day expecting to pull out more bills only to receive a card from “Anchor Church” with a Kroger gift card inside for groceries! I was shocked because I had never heard of this church before or who in the world knew we were having financial troubles! Thank you Lord!

Gave $10 to our local Kroger Pharmacist and asked that she pass it along to the next needy person. She called and said she gave money and Anchor Community Card to a woman who had been robbed that day and didn’t have enough money to buy her needed medication. Pharmacist and lady agree–what an awesome act of kindness!!

Car Help

We stopped when we saw their car on the side of the road. All the transmission fluid had leaked out, they were down on their luck, and it was really hot. We got the plug sealed, and bought 5 quarts of fluid and some cold water. He and his family were so thankful that someone stopped and was willing to help.

Siding and Help

A friend of mine and her husband are in a situation where they have to move out of their current rental home ASAP . . . and are pretty much completely rebuilding the home that they own. Josh and James started putting siding on the home while I went with my friend to the current home and helped her start packing . . . My friend and her husband have been so grateful for all of our help.

Car Help

I was able to help a family out with fixing their car. I walked out of church last week and seen that the lady’s car had a bald tire so I was able to get the car; I replaced the rear swing arm, did an alignment and nick got her a tire and put it on for her. It was awesome how every thing worked out.

I helped a family in need with a lawnmower. I finished it after church and took it to him. When I got their he was not at home and i decided to go ahead and cut the lawn. He’s about 50 when i was finishing the yard up him and his wife pulled up. They were so amazed i did this for them.

We were at a grand opening today for ACE HARDWARE. We helped a lady who brought her propane tank to get filled. We took it in and got it filled and took to her car. She was amazed we did it. We told her God was in control and God Bless Her

Wheelchair Games

The teens have been helping with the special olympics wheelchair games at the Parks & Recreation Center. They participate by playing in wheel chairs with the other atheletes. Many Anchor students have made a huge impact!

Dog Care

One of our friends was going out of town and was going to have to kennel their dog for almost $200. We offered to watch him for them. It not only saved them money on boarding, but just the kindness gave them and us joy.

Puerto Rico Update

The Puerto Rico Mission Team has seen God work in marvelous ways. They have completed over 200 acts of kindness! GO TEAM! These acts include passing out bottled water at many locations, cleaning trash up at several parks and businesses, purchasing a grill for a church, basketballs for teens, throwing a block party for several neighborhoods, cutting grass and cleaning homes. Continue to pray as many lives are challenged and changed in Puerto Rico.

Water on a Hot Day

I took the other bottle over to 2 men that were watching and I simply said, “It’s hot our here and you need to keep drinking. My son and I wanted to make sure you had something to drink. Here, please accept this from us. God loves you and we do too.”

Tammy and I had taken our girls to Woodland Christian Camp. On the way back, she needed a few items for her mission trip to Puerto Rico. But, it was dinner time. I had no money on me, but she was more than happy to buy my dinner. I tried to pay her back later in the evening when I got cash, but she wouldnt have any part of it.

Yesterday I paid for Chick-fil-a for the car behind me at the drive-thru. . . .once she understood she smiled and said “That is so nice of you!” I gave her a Radical card to give to the car behind me. As I drove away I saw the driver hand the lady his credit card, but I then saw her give him the Radical card instead.

Mike and I were doing yardwork Sunday afternoon and an older Mexican gentleman stopped at our driveway. He said he needed water. Mike and I gave him water plus extra water for his walk on down the road. We offered him food and a cool shade. He was so thankful. . . It made us both stop and Thank God for what we have.

Today my family purchased a bucket of strawberries for the family behind us at our local strawberry farm. I knew that whoever received our gift of kindness would be thankful (they were) but never did I think that WE would feel so good to do it. It was a blessing for our family!

“I overheard the clerk tell [a lady] the amount and sensed her panic when he told her cash or check only. She was from New York and didn’t have a local check. I told the clerk that I would take care of it and gave the lady a card. She was blown away and ask how could I do this for a total stranger. I explained to her that it was what Jesus had commanded us to do in loving one another.”

Socks, Water, Gum, and a Hotel

“He was a homeless man resting on the sidewalk by the entrance. When I saw him, I knew immediately that he needed a touch of kindness, and an example of Christ’s love in action. When I asked if he was hungry, all he requested were a pair of socks because his feet where so blistered from walking many miles. Bill, a parent of a youth student, donated his own socks that he was wearing. Bill and I prayed with Shane, and he was very greatful for the socks, water, and gum, we had given him. God decided that he was not done with me yet, and that I needed to do more because we all noticed the blisters on his feet, and the sadness and pain on his face. So, I was obedient and purchased a hotel room for Shane for the night.”

“As soon as we left service Sunday, we decided to pick up a quick lunch at BK. We chose to pay for the guys food who was waiting in the drive through behind us. . . .
